Stellar Seattle Food Stops!

Stellar Seattle Food Stops!

Never does Seattle disappoint me when I fly in and see Ranier in all her glory! Seattle with her excellent cuisine too... even though I wind up going back to many of my favorite haunts! Good thing I walk every day to balance out my calorie intake... always sort of healthy too. Let's take a gander through my 10 days of food in Seattle!

Arrived into the city right before lunch... so headed toward my daughter's place and ran into Meet the Moon Cafe for brunch! Small fun, active place where we waited for about 10 minutes and of course had a Blood Orange Mimosa to celebrate my arrival. Too many choices... so I had the Breakfast Burrito Bowl and my daughter the Veggie Scramble. So filling and the perfect choice to fill our bellies before heading home. That night found us eating at home and getting carry-out from Bai Tong Thai Street Cafe where our Thai selections of Crab Fried Rice and Tom Yum Soup... along with a yummy spicy noodle dish loaded with shellfish were just what I needed to satisfy my Thai cravings!

Sunday Brunch is always spectacular and our visit to Purple was just that! The wine display in the restaurants' center was amazing... who knew one restaurant could have so much wine! Bubbly was of course our selection along with fruit filled salads, sandwich combos and Margarita Flatbread. Perfect meal prior to afternoon wine tasting!

A trip to Seattle is never complete without a trip to Piroshky and Le Panier pastries and coffee down by the Market! Can never decide what to get so today decided savory and sweet was in order... the poppyseed was calling my name! Wound up saving this last poppyseed craving for the following days morning coffee break!

We of course I had to cook some... Blueberry yogurt muffins, Asian pulled pork, Chicken enchiladas and Pizza... to name a few. Breakfast and dinner were covered for a few days! Sunday Night pizza was on Saturday... homemade pizza is always great on any day with a fresh Caesar salad!  Chicken enchiladas made great lunch leftovers too!

Lunch was covered too, of course! The usual haunts of Bings and Din Tai Fung were fabulous as always. Savignon Blanc along with an assortment of dumplings and of course Garlicky Green Beans = perfect lunch! Happy hour in Seattle is not complete without a trip to Bing's in Madison Park... Mushroom Flatbread and Roasted Brussel Sprouts... perfect light dinner! Not to forget Sunday Brunch at Tallulah's! Woke with cravings for Eggs Benedict... Don't I always? Dungeness Crab Benedict over Sliced Brussels sprouts more than did the trick! Daughter had the regular Benedict over ham... so good! The Grapefruit Mimosa was the best too!

Last but not least...Tavolata's... Ethan Stowell's restaurant in Capitol Hill! Began the meal sharing a great bottle of Wilderness Red Blend along with sliced French bread with olive oil, Parmesan spread and Castelvetrano olives! Had gnocchi two ways... Gnocchi ala Romana (semolina) and Potato Gnocchi with Black Truffle and Butternut Squash...  were both amazing! My daughter had the Pappadelle with House Ragu... her favorite. Celebrated my son in laws' birthday with a scoop of Salted Carmel Gelato... my granddaughter's first taste of food too!

Seattle is always an amazing place to be... and eat! Even if it is only sushi or a breakfast sandwich... still so good! Last dinner was sushi from Pinto Thai Bistro ... again a craving. Now my hubby doesn't have to take me when I get home to Chicago! Last morning's breakfast found us at Belle Epicurean, a little French cafe spot in Madison Valley, was the perfect last meal... Ratatoille with egg and provolone on a wonderful rosemary bun  with a latte... held me over until my flight home.

Of course there's room for bubbly, cheese and fruit on the way home! Elegance at it's best. Until til next time Seattle!
